Designing a complete product in Flux means developing the electronics and mechanical parts together, checking how power, connectors, controls, mounting, and assembly fit into one product.
- PCB-first: Start with the circuit, then size the board, place components, and route it. Build the enclosure around the board, with matching mounts and connector openings. This suits products where the electronics drive the size and shape.
- Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s shape, dimensions, and user-facing controls. Fit the board outline, mounting holes, and connector positions into that space, then design and route the electronics within those constraints. This suits products where appearance, ergonomics, or a fixed installation space comes first.
Both workflows are iterative: board and enclosure need fit checks together before manufacturing. I haven’t changed your project this session; execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
