Flux PCB and Enclosure Design Workflows

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux means working through the electronics, PCB, enclosure, and how they fit together—not just drawing a circuit.
  • PCB-first: Start with the circuit, place connectors and components, then design an enclosure around the board. It suits electronics-led projects where performance and routing matter most. The trade-off: the enclosure may need to grow or change to fit.
  • Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s shape, size, mounting, and user-facing controls. Then fit the PCB and connectors inside those limits. It suits products where appearance or fit is fixed. The trade-off: tighter mechanical limits can make board layout harder.
Both workflows are iterative: check connector access, mounting, clearances, heat, and assembly as the design develops. Neither means finishing one half before considering the other.
No project changes were made. Execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
