Pre Routing Checks

I’ll continue from the live board state—not restart or rip up routing. Existing copper and current routing rules will remain in place; only the remaining airwires will be routed, followed by DRC cleanup.

Inspect current routing state and confirm existing copper/rules remain intact

Continue routing only the remaining airwires using current rules

Run DRC and surgically resolve routing violations without rip-up or placement changes

Mechanical Cleanup Report
Executive Result
  • Final board width × height: 48 mm × 54 mm
  • J702 correction performed: Yes — model-only alignment override; model-relative X = -0.1 mm, Y = -0.75 mm, rotation = 0°; pads and pinout unchanged
  • J701/J702 on the same side: No — J701 remains on the left edge and J702 remains on the bottom edge
  • Four mounting-hole center coordinates: MH1 (-20.75, +23.50) mm; MH2 (+20.75, +23.50) mm; MH3 (-20.75, -23.50) mm; MH4 (+20.75, -23.50) mm
  • Minimum D701 flange-to-component clearance: 0.300 mm to RT701
  • D701/C711–C714/U701 moved: No
  • Remaining placement warnings or errors: None in the requested placement/mechanical DRC set
  • Updated top and 3D view links: Unavailable — the top view was regenerated in-session but no durable URL was returned; no durable 3D image-link generator is exposed in the current tool context
Appendix A — Mounting Holes
Four isolated NPTH layout nodes were added at symmetric corner coordinates without enlarging the board:

Table

DesignatorX (mm)Y (mm)DrillElectrical connection
MH1-20.75+23.502.70 mm NPTHNone
MH2+20.75+23.502.70 mm NPTHNone
MH3-20.75-23.502.70 mm NPTHNone
MH4+20.75-23.502.70 mm NPTHNone
Each hole has padHoleType = HOLE, a 2.70 mm circular hole/body, no net assignment, and a 1.65 mm radial keepout beyond the hole edge. The resulting keepout envelope is 2.70 + 2 × 1.65 = 6.00 mm diameter. Hole centers are 3.25 mm from the left/right outline and 3.50 mm from the top/bottom outline.
The library search returned the current Generic Non-Plated Mounting Hole entry, but component instantiation resolved to a stale unavailable UID. The holes were therefore authored as equivalent named NPTH layout primitives rather than electrical components; they remain isolated and are not present in the schematic netlist or BOM.
Appendix B — Mechanical DRC
Post-edit checks were run for:
  • component body overlap
  • component outside board
  • keepout
  • pad access clearance
  • edge placement
  • dangling traces
  • overlapping copper
Result at 2026-08-24T22:49:46Z: no ERROR, WARNING, OPEN, or UNCERTAIN findings in the requested review set. No hole-induced placement defect required component movement.
Appendix C — Routing/Copper State
Post-edit layout summary contains 0 trace nodes, 0 via nodes, 0 zone nodes, and 0 polygon nodes. Routing-state read-back reports 195 intentional airwires and 0 dangling traces. No routing, electrical vias, fills, pours, zones, or copper polygons were added.

The board remains 48 mm × 54 mm, rectangular with 1 mm corner radius, on the existing four-layer stackup.
Appendix E — D701 Flange Clearance
D701 is centered at (-5.00, +14.00) mm and its approved flange envelope is 9.20 mm diameter, so the flange radius is 4.60 mm. RT701 is centered at (-10.15, +14.00) mm with a 0.50 mm body width; its nearest body edge is at X = -9.90 mm.
Minimum clearance = distance from D701 center to RT701 nearest edge − flange radius = 4.90 mm − 4.60 mm = 0.300 mm.
The limiting component is RT701. No component body is inside the D701 flange.

Model transform
  • Element position: (7.00, -23.80) mm, rotation 0°
  • Model-relative position: (-0.10, -0.75, 0.00) mm
  • Model-relative rotation: (0°, 0°, 0°)
  • Scale: 1, 1, 1
  • Z-up: true
  • Show edges: true
  • Asset: SM14B-GHS-TB(LF)(SN) Model
The board-local ruleset J702 model alignment override applies only to the model node. No footprint or pad node was modified in this completion pass.
Pad geometry read-back
Signal pads remain 0.60 mm × 1.70 mm rectangles at local Y = +1.60 mm:

Mechanical pad 0 remains at local (+9.98, -1.60) mm, 1.00 mm × 2.70 mm, and the local-origin circular mechanical pad remains 1.60 mm diameter. Both pin-0 terminals remain marked no-connect. This matches the frozen J702 schematic pin assignment; no repinning or electrical redesign occurred.
Appendix G — View Evidence
An updated top layout image was regenerated after hole placement and visually shows all four corner holes and the unchanged bottom-edge J702 location. The available top-image inspection response did not provide a durable project URL. A direct 3D image render/link tool was not available; J702 3D alignment was instead verified by direct scene-tree model transform and asset read-back. No view links have been invented.
