PCB and Enclosure Design

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux means developing the electronics and physical housing together—checking how the board, connectors, controls, power source, and enclosure fit and function as one device.
  • PCB-first: Start with circuit requirements, choose components, and develop the schematic and board layout. Then design the enclosure around the board, allowing room for mounting, cables, ports, and assembly. This suits products where electronics or connector requirements drive the shape.
  • Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s size, appearance, ergonomics, and mounting needs. Establish the internal space and port locations, then design the PCB to fit. This suits products where the user experience or a fixed physical envelope drives the design.
Neither workflow is strictly linear: expect a few iterations between board and enclosure before manufacturing. Your project already includes electronics and enclosure bodies; I made no changes this session. Execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
