Designing a complete product in Flux is an iterative process: I help define requirements, develop the electronics and enclosure, check how they fit together, and prepare for prototyping and manufacturing.
- PCB-first: Start with the circuit, select parts, and lay out the board. Then design the enclosure around its dimensions, connectors, mounting holes, and cooling needs. This works well when electrical performance drives the product, but the case may need to accommodate a larger or less convenient board shape.
- Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s shape, size, controls, and port locations. Then design the PCB to fit that envelope. This works well when appearance, ergonomics, or installation space matters most, but fitting the electronics can require tighter placement or multiple boards.
Both workflows involve back-and-forth—not a one-way handoff—and physical prototypes are still needed to validate fit and function. I haven’t modified your project in this session; this was an overview only. Execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
