Display Controller Board Design

I can design this, but I only have view access to the current project, so I can’t directly add or wire the new schematic here.
Recommended panopticon client topology:
  • 2× ESP32-S3-N16R8 dev boards, socketed with female 2.54 mm headers so each module can be swapped.
  • 4× GC9A01 display headers, split as:
    • S3-A → Display 1 + Display 2
    • S3-B → Display 3 + Display 4
  • Per ESP32-S3:
    • GPIO8 → Display CS1
    • GPIO14 → Display CS2
    • GPIO10 → shared RST
    • GPIO9 → shared DC
    • GPIO7 → shared SCK
    • GPIO6 → shared MOSI
  • Each display header should expose:
    • 5V or 3V3
    • GND
    • SCK
    • MOSI
    • CS
    • DC
    • RST
    • optional BL backlight pin, either tied on or routed to a GPIO/PWM pin
  • Add 5V/GND solder pads or a 2-pin through-hole power input for the buck converter output.
  • Add local power support:
    • 5V bulk capacitor near input, e.g. 470 µF
    • 100 nF + 10 µF near each ESP32-S3 5V/3V3 input area
    • 100 nF near each display header if the display modules are on wires
Power estimate: two ESP32-S3 boards plus four GC9A01 backlights can realistically hit ~1.2–1.5 A peak at 5 V, so I’d size the external buck converter for at least 2 A, preferably 3 A if multiple boards are daisy-chained.
To proceed in Flux, either give me edit access or fork/clone this into an editable project, and I’ll add the two socketed S3 modules, four display headers, 5 V input pads, bulk/decoupling capacitors, and wire the schematic cleanly.

ESP32 ROBOT CONTROLLER

ESP32 ROBOT CONTROLLER thumbnail
Control board for autonomous or radio-controlled robots. It has inputs to connect distance sensors and encoders for autonomous mode. It can be radio controlled by the ESP32 bluetooth or by connecting a Flysky RC controller receiver to the IBUS port. It also has 3 push buttons and you can connect some kind of display by I2C to visualize and select configuration modes.
