Design and build a low‑power Wi‑Fi + BLE temperature/humidity sensor node that is powered solely by a USB‑C (5 V) source. The design must include reverse polarity, over‑voltage (OVP), under‑voltage lockout (UVLO), and over‑current (OCP) protection, while being compatible with source ratings from 0.5 A to 3 A. The sensor node will provide environmental monitoring and support 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n + BLE 5.x connectivity.

Implementation plan

Component Selection and Addition
1. Select and add an ultra‑low‑power Wi‑Fi + BLE MCU/module with integrated radio support for 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n and BLE 5.x.

PCB Layout Preparation and Finalization
1. Select and assign footprints for the USB‑C connector, MCU, sensor, protection ICs, buck converter, and passives.
2. Define a board stackup with proper layout constraints, including an RF keep‑out zone near board edges and thermal isolation for the sensor.
3. Use Auto‑Layout to place components, and then route all nets to meet high-frequency and power integrity requirements.
4. Review ERC/DRC to ensure completeness and export manufacturing files for production.
