Trace Width Update Review
Change applied
  • Updated all routeSegment trace-width rules to 0.254 mm (10 mil) using a bulk layout-rule update.
  • The update preserved existing trace endpoints, paths, layers, component placement, and schematic connectivity.
  • The bulk update reported 137 layout rules updated.
Verification observations
  • Project layout units are mm.
  • Default trace rule was already 10mil; the bulk update additionally forced routed trace segments to 0.254 mm.
  • Spot-check of previously nonconforming routes confirmed the rendered widths are now 0.254 mm:
    • Net 6 segments near Q1/R9/R10 changed from 0.15 mm to 0.254 mm.
    • Net 7 segments changed from 0.15 mm to 0.254 mm.
    • Net 8 segments changed from 0.5 mm to 0.254 mm.
Locked routing note
  • Net 6 was previously identified as having internally locked routing objects that resisted deletion/unlocking.
  • The width rule update did apply to visible Net 6 route segments in the layout rendering, but because those objects were previously internally locked, Net 6 remains flagged for manual review if further direct routing edits or deletion are needed.
DRC results after update
The post-update DRC did not fully pass. Current reported issues include:

Because the requirement was to avoid changing routing paths, I did not delete, reroute, or move objects to resolve these DRC errors. The next step should be a controlled routing cleanup pass: delete confirmed dangling trace remnants and reroute only the failing nets, with special attention to previously locked Net 6 objects.
