Complete the ESP32 smart scale project by finishing the schematic, resolving ERC/DRC issues, auto‑layout and route the PCB, and preparing manufacturing outputs to achieve a fully manufacturable design.
Complete all schematic connections including resolving dangling nets (e.g., Net 35).
Verify power rails (PP12V0, PP5V0, PP3V3, PP3V3_L) and net portals are correctly connected.
Add any required supporting passives as per datasheet recommendations for parts such as the ESP32‑C3, NAU7802 ADC, NCP176B 3.3 V LDO, and TPS62130 buck regulator.
ERC Validation and Correction
Run ERC and identify issues such as missing pull‑ups, decoupling capacitors, or voltage ratings mismatches.
Correct ERC warnings by connecting pull‑ups to the I2C bus (I2C_SCL, I2C_SDA) or other required connections and confirming BOM entries and footprints.
PCB Preparation and Auto‑Layout
Finalize the PCB stackup and core design rules.
Utilize Auto‑Layout to effectively place all components including the ESP32‑C3 module (IC1), NAU7802 ADC (U1), NCP176B (U2), TPS62130 (U3), USB‑C connector (J2), microSD (J1), and pin headers (J4/J5), ensuring signal integrity on I2C, SPI, and GPIO nets.
Auto‑route nets and verify all connections, ensuring there are no missed connections or routing conflicts.
DRC Run and Optimization
Run DRC and resolve clearance or rule violations.
Adjust PCB layout rules as needed to clear design rule issues and route problem areas.
Finalization and Manufacturing Outputs
Review component availability and update project properties if necessary.
Export manufacturing files including Gerber files, BOM, and pick‑and‑place outputs.
Wirelessly connects nets on schematic. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect net portals, give them same designator. #portal
Wirelessly connects power nets on schematic. Identical to the net portal, but with a power symbol. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect power net portals, give them the same designator. #portal #power
