555 Timer LED Blinker Design

I found a valid NE555P library part and will proceed with the standard datasheet astable pinout since the datasheet lookup timed out.
Components are in place: NE555P, LED, 5 V input connector, timing parts, LED resistor, and required control/supply decoupling. I’m wiring the astable circuit now.
Designed and wired the 5 V NE555 LED blinker schematic.
Summary:
  • NE555 astable oscillator using R1 = 1 kΩ, R2 = 680 kΩ, C1 = 1 µF for about 1.06 Hz.
  • LED output includes R3 = 680 Ω current limiting, targeting roughly 4–5 mA.
  • Added required 555 support: RESET tied to 5 V, 10 nF control-pin bypass, 100 nF local decoupling, and 10 µF bulk capacitance.
  • Added J1 as the 5 V/GND input connector.
  • ERC/review checks returned no ERROR/WARNING/UNCERTAIN items.
  • Created Board Bring-Up Plan.
Schematic is ready for layout when you want to proceed.
