Yes. ratgdo (“Rage Against the Garage Door Opener”) is an open-source ESP8266/ESP32-based controller that integrates compatible garage-door openers—especially Chamberlain/LiftMaster Security+ models—with Home Assistant and MQTT.
It can typically:
  • Open, close, and stop the door
  • Report door position/state
  • Control and monitor the opener light
  • Report obstruction-sensor and motion states
  • Work locally without relying on MyQ cloud services
  • Run ESPHome, MQTT, or HomeKit-oriented firmware, depending on the setup
It interfaces with the opener’s wired control bus rather than mechanically pressing a remote. Compatibility and wiring depend heavily on whether the opener uses Security+ 1.0, Security+ 2.0, or a dry-contact interface.
