The placement pass is complete: all 130 parts are inside the board with no reported overlaps, bounds, keepout, edge, or switching-stage findings. I’m independently checking the result and final design-review status before closing.
Independent review found three local bypass/bootstrap refinements: C28 at U2 and C22/C38 at U6. The edge connectors are correctly aligned to the board edge and intentionally overhang mechanically; I’m applying those three fixes and re-running explicit placement checks.
All 130 components are placed on the 100 × 100 mm board. U2/U3/U5/U6 power stages are compact, including corrected placement of bootstrap/bypass capacitors C28, C22, and C38.
Open items
182 airwires remain, as expected before routing.
Edge connectors intentionally overhang the outline while their edge rules remain aligned.
This is the new full-board optimization pass, separate from the earlier Placement Refresh Review. 18 existing support components moved; 92 retained. This is not routing or manufacturing signoff.

Status
Evidence / limitation
Inventory and schematic-connectivity review
Completed
All 110 component property records and all 71 schematic net memberships inspected. The live schematic, not the broken PCB net mapping, was the connectivity authority.
Placement optimization batch
Completed
18 support-component moves applied and positions read back; three introduced overlaps corrected in the next call. Mechanical anchors and passing power-stage banks retained.
Exhaustive new pin-by-pin evaluation of every retained support component
Unattempted beyond the selected pad-informed blocks
Whole-board inventory/AABB review does not prove every retained passive is optimal. Selected IC pad coordinates were obtained from live layout_2d, but no complete 354-pad re-evaluation was performed.
Silkscreen geometry update
Completed
Existing SVG asset edited in place, preserving IDs and glyph geometry; 110 reference labels and 16 legends retained. Affected and colliding references repositioned.
Visual silk acceptance
Failed / blocked
Live layout_image still produces giant black diagnostic text boxes and white silk on white background. Frontend editor session unavailable. R42 extended-gap association also needs visual review.
Read-only placement validation
Completed
Fresh selected checks at 2026-09-15T15:01:06.200Z report six unchanged SMPS warnings, no selected placement errors.
Routing / PCB net-map repair / regeneration
Unattempted intentionally
No routing or destructive regeneration; preserve existing layout and schematic.
Exact moves
Coordinates are board-centered millimeters. All moved parts remain Top; no rotations, footprints, values, MPNs, schematic connections, board geometry, or stackup were changed by this batch.

Retained block rationale
Mechanical/user interfaces: J1–J6, SW1, LED1/LED2 retained. Existing connector edge alignments, battery/NTC accesses, switch and indicator arrangement preserved. No new mating-envelope qualification implied.
Input protection and source chain: U10/U1, D1/D2, C1–C3, R1/R2, R3/C7 and U10 input UV/OV resistors R44–R47 retained. Preserve connector-facing protection, rail entry and previously placed source chain; only the specific control parts in the table changed.
Charger: U2, L6, C4/C5/C6, C28–C31, R24/R25/R28 retained. Required SMPS placement criteria remain free of errors; do not trade these away merely to remove advisory path detours. R26/R27 relocated to the VLIM region.
System UVLO: U9, C35, R37–R39 retained between charger SYS and downstream converters.
3.3 V: U3, L3, C8–C12, R48 retained as passing power-stage banks/inductor/bypass; R10/R11 improved. U4, R16 and C36 retained; C26 moved to DVDT side.
12 V: U6, L5, C18–C24/C38, R14/R18 retained, preserving hot-loop output bank, input rail and switch-side inductor. R15/R19/R20/C25 reorganized on control side. U8, C33, R35/R42/R43 retained as output-protection block.
Shared output / status: C37 retained near AUX connector; Q1/Q2, R5/R8/R9/R21–R23 retained with the status/selector area. Their slow signals do not justify disturbing anchored LEDs or power blocks in this batch.
Validation
Baseline checks at 2026-09-15T14:11:48.710Z, final checks at 2026-09-15T15:01:06.200Z. Requested body overlap, board bounds, pad access, keepout, edge placement, overlapping copper, power stage and decoupling reviews. The final returned findings contain only six SMPS advisory warnings; no selected placement errors were returned. The placement mutation tool independently reports zero remaining overlaps, keepouts and out-of-bounds after remediation. All 18 final coordinates read back from scene_tree.
These are placement trial-route hints, not actual routed traces. Broken PCB mapping prevents treating airwire/routing status as connectivity evidence. The historical C11 decoupling concern is not claimed resolved: decoupling was requested, but no dedicated C11 result was returned.
Asset identity remains fa49284b-4b31-48bd-a388-9b83558d78bc, name corrected-top-silkscreen.svg; the existing Top line node continues referencing that asset. Glyphs remain 0.15mm strokes, approximately 1mm overall height. Fixed identity and connector legends preserved, including DESIGNED BY / COLLINS, GRN INPUT/IDLE, and switch left12V/right5V with no OFF legend.
Offline conservative AABB check: 126 labels versus 110 component bounds, 13,860 label-component comparisons and 7,875 label-label comparisons; final label collisions [], bounds violations0, minimum clearance0.200mm. These checks use the provided live component bounds, not a complete mask-opening/CAM model. J2 asymmetric bounds were explicitly retained. R8 now has an adjacent label and its earlier low-clearance leader was removed. C32 was included in association cleanup.
R24 label remains remote at(-2.25,-1.75), so a 0.15mm leader was added along(-2.65,-0.425)→(-2.65,2.5)→(-3,2.5). Exact linework verification gives minimum label clearance0.225mm and component clearance0.200mm; nearby component obstacles checked explicitly. R42 used an extended label-gap candidate; visual ownership review remains necessary. The generated dark diagnostic drawing is not a live-editor/CAM acceptance substitute.
Remaining blockers / caveats
Visual silk acceptance blocked by rendering/session tools; attempted internal feedback submission failed, so no ticket was filed.
Historical SW1 role text says center-off although installed switch is ON–NONE–ON. No BOM or schematic correction in this scope.
Existing J2 overhang is intentional; swept switch clearance and exact J4 mating envelope are not newly qualified.
This completed 18-move batch is not proof of globally optimal placement or an exhaustive pad-by-pad audit of all retained parts.
No routing, net-map repair, copper return/thermal verification, manufacturing export, or fabrication signoff performed.
