I've created a plan and started work on it.

#Goal

Replace the on-board soldered ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N8R2 (U4) in the Smart Pantry Shelf Master Tile schematic with a header pin/socket representation that accepts an ESP32-S3 breakout board. Preserve all existing net names and designators for the ESP32 connections.

#Implementation plan

Inspect the existing schematic for U4, identifying all ESP32-relevant nets including USB D+ (IO20), USB D- (IO19), SDA (IO8), SCL (IO9), IRQ (IO7), USR_LED (IO18), IRQ_EXT (IO10), TILE_SEL (IO11), EN (with pullup/CAP/reset switch), IO0 (with pullup/boot switch), and power nets (3V3/GND).
Remove the SMD module footprint and replace it with a header pin/sockets schematic symbol to represent the plug-in ESP32-S3 breakout board.
1. Add header pins corresponding to each ESP32 connection, ensuring the breakout board's pinout is matched.
2. If no specific breakout board pinout is provided, pause and request the correct pinout information from the user.
Reconnect each header pin to the corresponding nets, while preserving existing net names and designators.
Validate the updated schematic using ERC (Electrical Rule Check) to ensure all connections are correct and the ESP32 section meets design intent.

#Success criteria

The schematic now uses header pins for the ESP32 while preserving all original net names and designators.
All original connections (USB, I²C, IRQ, LED, reset/boot, power) have been correctly mapped to the header pins.
The schematic passes ERC without errors.
