Current project state:
- Project is still essentially empty for this task.
- It currently contains 2 components, both
M12A-04PFFR-SF7003. - No nets are wired yet.
- The project still has the placeholder name/description.
Requested design intent to implement next:
- Create a breakout board from a 15-pin screw terminal to two 4-pin M12 A-coded locking connectors.
- Add a DC barrel jack.
- Wire DC barrel jack positive to screw terminal pin 14, net
+Vs. - Wire DC barrel jack negative/sleeve to screw terminal pin 15, net
-Vz. - Map the remaining M12 connector pins to the 15-pin terminal once the intended pin assignment is confirmed or inferred.
What remains to be done when credits are available:
- Rename the project and update the description.
- Add a 15-position screw terminal component.
- Add a DC barrel jack component.
- Verify the M12 connector pinout from its datasheet before wiring.
- Wire both 4-pin M12 connectors to the 15-pin terminal.
- Wire barrel jack center/sleeve to terminal pins 14/15 as
+Vs/-Vz. - Add labels/test points if useful.
- Run schematic review/ERC and fix any issues.
- After schematic approval, proceed to PCB outline, placement, and routing.
