5V to 3.3V Regulator Datasheet

Wiring Summary:
  1. Input Section:
    • J1 provides 5V and ground.
    • 5V is also routed through [R1] and [LED1] to ground for a 5V presence indication.
    • The 5V input is decoupled by [C1] before entering U1 IN.
  2. Regulator Section:
    • [MCP1700-3302E/TO (U1)] receives 5V and provides a steady 3.3V with inherent current limiting around 200mA.
    • A decoupling capacitor, [C2], is placed between U1 OUT and ground.
  3. Output Section:
    • The regulated 3.3V drives [LED2] via [R2] for an output indicator.
    • The final output is delivered via J2 with connections for 3.3V and ground.
