ESP32-C3 and A4988 Modifications


I want to modify this so that the controller is a esp32 c3 supermini module and the motor drivers are a4988 stepper drivers Modules.
I can’t modify the project right now because there are no available ACUs, so AI execution features are unavailable.
Current state: no design changes have been made in this session. The requested migration is to replace the existing ESP32 controller with an ESP32-C3 SuperMini module and replace the current motor driver circuitry with A4988 stepper driver modules.
Remaining work once ACUs are available:
  • Identify the existing ESP32 DevKit and TB6612FNG motor-driver connections.
  • Select or create suitable ESP32-C3 SuperMini and A4988 module components.
  • Re-map GPIOs for STEP/DIR/ENABLE, limit switches, sensors, I2C OLED, RC input, and any remaining interfaces.
  • Update power architecture for ESP32-C3 logic and A4988 VMOT/motor supply requirements.
  • Rewire schematic, then run ERC/design review.
  • Update PCB placement/routing after schematic migration.
